COREY TAYLOR: New Audio Interview Posted Online

January 22, 2012

Melissa Maria recently conducted an interview with SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.

According to Taylor, STONE SOUR will hit the studio in 2012, between SLIPKNOT's run on February's Soundwave Festival in Australia and a summer tour of North America that's slated to kick off in mid-June. The CD will probably be recorded in Iowa with producer David Bottrill, who has previously worked with TOOL, MUSE and Peter Gabriel, among others.

Taylor previously said about the storyline for the next STONE SOUR record, "It's basically the story of a man who's trying to figure it out. He can't figure out if he's happier when he's miserable, or if he's miserable about not being happy. It's almost like a mid-life crisis in a way. He's young enough that he knows that there's still a lot of life to live, but he's old enough to realize that he can't be hung up on the romance of teenage depression and youthful aggression."
